In vanilla wow there was a pair of gloves that were a low level epic world drop, so they could be sold and bought off the auction house, that were best in slot for melee classes that could equip them. So warriors would go out of the way to grab these items, as well as the odd Shaman and melee Hunter. Now what made these gloves so good was that they gave a +7 in skill to three different weapons...
