Day 97 for Simba and it appears no fledge is in sight today! Jackie brings in the first fish, Shadow the next two, and Jackie #4. Simba gets plenty of fresh sushi today!! Simba does his fish dance & also gets fed by Jackie! Be sure to watch Shadow's awesome fly in at 11:12 timestamp! After I uploaded this video there was a 5th fish delivery by Shadow.

Fledging is instinctual - Simba can fly now he just does not know it. Dr Sharpe commented that "The eagles on the Channel Islands were restored with birds that were removed from their nests 4-6 weeks before fledging & placed in hacking towers with no adults within 400 miles. We have never seen a normal fledge from the BB nest, so we don't know if they normally are delayed because of the nest conditions (e.g. no good places to flap their wings and/or hover because of the branch structure over & around the nest)."

So Simba will fly when he is ready and will set the standard for future eaglet fledgings at this nest! Thank you for watching!
