This is something that I caught wind of over on the Classic WoW Subreddit that I was not aware of, so I wanted to test it out.

Apparently in WoW Classic, the weapon skill used for attacking with a Fishing Pole is actually derived from your Fishing Skill. Obviously Fishing poles don't do very much damage, but what does this mean? This means that you can actually skill your fishing up past the weapon skill cap for your level, and attack mobs at a higher level than you would typically be able to by using a fishing pole that does less damage on your character screen, but more effective damage by actually negating the damage reduction on the glancing blows.

A lot of you may have seen or heard of Asmongold and I's runs of Scarlet Monestary Armory and Cathedral with a full group of level 30s. We want to try and push even more higher level content. And I plan on using this to my advantage as a paladin in order to get it done! Really cool stuff and big thanks to Redrark for picking up on this!
